Welcome

Katrien (Suzanne François) Colman was born in Ghent in 1976, and studied Logopaedic and Audiologic Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ghent. After she graduated in 1998, she worked as a speech and language pathologist in a private hospital where she mainly diagnosed and treated adults with acquired neurological speech and language impairments.

 

In 2002 her academic studies were continued with the European Master in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL) at the University of Groningen, which was followed in 2004 by a PhD project under the umbrella of the School of Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience (BCN) and the Center for Language and Cognition Groningen (CLCG). From March 2009 until September 2012, Katrien worked as a lecturer and coordinator at the department of Neurolinguistics at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Groningen. Katrien defended her PhD thesis on February the 17th, 2011. She also worked as a lecturer at the department of Speech and Language Therapy and as a coordinator research of the Master Phsycian Assistant at the University of Applied Sciences (Hanzehogeschool Groningen) from April 2012 until November 2012.

Currently Katrien is working as a lecturer and coordinator research of the department of Speech-Language Therapy & Audiology of Thomas More Antwerp in Belgium.
