The Slings-family in the Netherlands
In 1947 in Holland was taken a census. The results have been published. On that moment
there were living 85 Slingses in the Netherlands (married women were registered under their
maiden-names). In the map you can see in black
the 1947-results per province. It is striking that with some exceptions most of the Slingses were living
in the western part of the country.
There has been changed some things since then. In green
you see the results per province from our own investigation in 1996, but
this is not yet completed. So there are living more Slinges in the Netherlands at this moment
than the 116 who are numbered in the map (approximately about 135). Furthermore two families
have moved to Belgium and France.
